![]() I realize that both these bootable CD carry Linux distros (Knoppix), BUT.Is there any. I also used the same cloning method in DriveImage XML, but got virtually the same results. Now, although the CloneZilla image did work.I needed the Windows install disk to complete the restoration (not good!).Īlso! I did notice when Windows did fix the "BootMGR" issue, the "System Reserved" partition was given a drive letter assigned to Windows, and was NOT 100 MB in size (it was 35MB?) like a proper Windows 7 installation! I used the Windows 7 install DVD and chose the "Fix" Windows option, and it did boot me back into Windows. I was able to clone both the C: drive and the "System Reserved" partition, but upon a test restoration, I got a "BootMGR missing" error. I used two cloning programs: Drive Image XML and Clonezilla v1.2.12-60. My objective is to clone an installation of Windows 7 Home Premium on a new system of mine, but I did run into problems. ![]() As this subject has turned up before, I know different conclusions have been drawn. ![]()
